RANGE RULES
- Handle your firearm as if it is loaded at all times.
- Do not allow the muzzle to sweep over/past anyone at any time.
- This is a COLD RANGE. All weapons must be unloaded at the gate when entering. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Do not load your firearm until you are ready to fire, the muzzle is pointed safely down range, and the range is clear of people.
- ANY PERSON AT ANY TIME MAY CALL FOR A CEASE FIRE!
- During a CEASE FIRE, all weapons will be opened, weapons benched, and all shooters will go behind the red line and will remain there until all shooters have cleared the firing area and all shooters agree that the range is again hot.
- Rifles and pistols will not be handled while people are down range.
- All firearms will be benched with the action open while people are down range. On the shotgun range, actions will be open at all times until the shooter is ready, on station, to engage the target. Shotgun actions will be open and unloaded when changing stations. Shotguns are NOT allowed on the rifle range. Pistols and rifles are NOT allowed on the shotgun ranges.
- The use of Tracer or Armor Piercing ammunitions as well as 50 Caliber BMG or larger weapons on the range is prohibited with the exception of Muzzle Loaded or Black Powder weapons which are not limited to less than .50 Caliber.
- Fully automatic weapons may be used only with prior approval of the Board of Directors.
- On the Rifle Range, no targets are to be placed beyond the 200 yard mark.
- All shooters must fire from the same firing line without exception.
- Eye protection and Ear protection will be worn at all times.
- Do not rely on a SAFETY. It is a mechanical device and subject to failure. Unload your firearm when it is not in use and leave the action open until returned to your vehicles.
- Do not shoot target stands, holders, or any other range fixtures or construction.
- Do not shoot tin cans, glass or other material which can shatter or leave hazardous residue.
- Take down your used targets. Clean up your brass, etc. and place all trash in trash barrels or dumpsters.
- NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS, on the range and no use of the range if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Violation of this rule will result in PERMANENT denial of range privileges regardless of membership.
- NO VANDALISM OR INTENTIONAL DAMAGE to the range will be tolerated.
- Members are responsible for the actions of their guests and family members.
- REMEMBER THIS IS YOUR RANGE! Your dollars maintain it. Please help, keep it clean. Report any vandalism or safety violations to a Board member or Range Safety Officer. Get descriptions and license numbers of offenders. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED!
